Integrated European framework for climate resilience 'is on the way'.

EU Agriculture Commissioner Christophe Hansen announced that "we are working with the EIB to identify policy options regarding disaster compensation and reinsurance" for farmers during the informal meeting of agriculture ministers taking place in Cyprus.

"We need to increase the uptake of risk management tools at all levels," the commissioner stressed, adding that he expects "the European Parliament to vote on a pilot project with the same objective for the 2027 budget".

He also recalled that "by the end of the year" the European Commission will adopt "an integrated European framework for climate resilience, aimed at increasing resilience across the European Union in order to address climate change". #IMCAP Co-funded by the European Union.
